These are the average time from entering the ER to being admitted to the hospital by a doctor. In a busy ER, patients will be seen by a triage nurse first. Then the wait time will vary by severity, and how busy the ER is at the time of day. Patients with less serious problems could have substantially longer waits.

: "For years hospitals have fed greedy stockholders. Doctors, nurses have basically same salaries as 1986(when I graduated). U of Arizona imported nurses from Philippines in late 1980s. They broke any bargaining power for staff. Thank you to my alma mater, you traitors. Staffing worse and worse till 2020. Then, guess what, no staff, everyone working till they drop. CEO, CFO, COO don't belong in medical care. Get out." - Nancy

: "The nurses in the ER are straight bitches. They have no concern for their patients. They are so rude and have no concern. This trip was with my day. 1 month ago my mom was here and same thing. Bitches! Brought a bed in the er and told my mom to mom over to the bed. Her heart rate was 34. Then put her on a bed pan and over a hour later still had not come back to take her off. Hate this hospital and all the bitches that work here. U people need to learn some manners. " - Lisa

: "I would like to share my experience with the billing department my husband was a patient in Bayshore in April and passed away I received a bill for over 600.00 with eob saying he was on workmen’s comp it was a error with Medicare I called all the drs. Explained we were working on clerking it up it was some kind of mistake this one bill from a nurse practitioner put me in collection’s after 3 months it did get straightened up but it took 6 months I was dealing with my husbands sudden death then a error and they didn’t give me the courtesy to wait everyone else did it was just another stressful thing to deal with I don’t think 6 months was an unreasonable time to give me. Thank you for lisenting. Susan Knott RN " - Susan

: "I took my son to Aiken SC hospital for a brown recluse swollen finger. Arrived at 5:30 pm and now its 11:35 and still waiting. They made any spouses fathers and mothers to aid the patients to leave at 7-8pm. wait in our cars or go home and come back. Told me I may need to take him To Augusta University if they can't do the procedure. I was waiting to see if they were going to fix or send him out to another er. Although there were only about 10m patients with one spouse. Several people told me they have been waiting 6+ hours.I'm calling my 2nd district congressman Monday. Don't go to AIKEN HOSPITAL!!!! : "I went to Bayview ER on 1/7 for a stomach illness, and waited 7.5 hours without seeing a doctor, so I left. I was surprised with the amount of sick people waiting to see a doctor, one person stated he has been there since 7AM, which was beyond 12 hours wait. It appears to me that the staff doesn't have any urgencies to see patients, or there is not enough doctors to meet demand. I'm following up my my GI doctor, which is the way to go. If you are suffering from an illness, don't go to the ER unless you don't mind being there close to 24 hours in a chair. I went to John Hopkins web site and noted my experience, never again.
