Lafayette General Medical Center: "At 3:00 am on 6/13/23 I went to the ER at Ochner Lafayette General Hospital with severe pain in the upper quadrant of my stomach under my rib cage. The pain was severe and would not stop. I went to the ER and checked in at 3:30 am. I was told to go sit in the waiting lobby and someone would call me. 4 hrs later I had not heard from anyone and my pain was getting worse. I went to the check in station and asked the lady if I could see someone about my pain. She called a very uncaring and none concerned nurse that told that there was nothing she could do after 4 hrs. Her words were "If I didn't like that I could go to another hospital". I did and got excellent care within 30 min. I am very upset and angry for the way they treated me at OLGMC emergency room. I will discourage anyone from going there." - Jimmy

Our Lady Of Lourdes Regional Medical Center: "My daughter came to emergency room on 1/9 with extreme pain. The pain started on Saturday. After waiting 4 hours with excruciating pain they finally saw her and diagnosed as appendicitis. They did not get to her until Monday at 2:00 pm. By that time her appendix had ruptured. She was in the hospital for 8 days after. After being out of hospital 2 days she experienced extreme pain . The doctor sent her to emergency room with orders for a ct scan. We have been here 5 hours with no idea what is wrong with her or how long before they take care of her." - Frances

Our Lady Of Lourdes Regional Medical Center: "At urging of Urgent Care MD, went to ER on Monday 01/09/2023 around 3:00PM with possible pancreatitis and high fever. Was triaged relatively quickly (~1 hour) then waited additional 3 hours for an ultrasound. By 11:00PM, still had not seen MD or had results reviews. Left in disgust. There were others in ER who had been since the day before - ridiculous!" - Catherine

Natchitoches Regional Medical Center: "I brought my 92 yr old mother to ER 630 in am with SOB. No one came out to car to assist us, had to go get our own wheelchair - no pedals on chair and mom too sick to hold up legs. Secretary took our information than we sat. No nurses came to evaluate her. She had labored breathing. Talked to secretary multiple times , she said that she told the nurses. Waited an hour, did not feel comfortable waiting any longer as moms breathing was getting worse. Left and went to Alexandria. On the way out another family member said they had been there some 10 pm the night before and they still had not done anything with his wife.
I work at ER in Minnesota When you pull up someone comes out with wheelchair, there is a nurse at the station that does a quick set of vitals and triages patient to either a pt. Room or the waiting area depending upon how sick the patient is.
Natchotoches ER is not an ER it is a glorified clinic with people working to just get a check not really having the critical skills to work in an ER. "
