Wuesthoff Medical Center - Melbourne: "I think they should change the name of this hospital to Worstoff. Cause that's what your gonna be. Last night 10/18/2020 I brought my boyfriend there he had Rc Airboat accident he had cut himself so bad not knowing how many fingers or how bad the cut was. Lots of blood involved the ER let him sit there for 5 hours didn't do anything to help him. Doctor called my cellphone about 1am saying he's missing. If they would pay attention to the patient instead of socializing with the female nurses you mite have noticed he walked right passed you and walked home in the condition he was in. I win

ll never return to this hospital I surprised this hospital hasn't closed for good. This must be why they have changed the name to Melbourne regional Hospital for it's reputation

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!

This has got to be one of the most inhumane Gestapo Hitler hospitals I have ever seen in my life, and I have seen quite a few, both as a nurse and a patient. I walked into the hospital under my own ability, just to make inquiry about learning of a good physician for my health care_ as I was new to town.
While waiting to find out and talking, I had one of my seizures. Having had them over the years since I was only 23 from having have spinal meningitis. I'm trying to tell the staff I had medicine in my purse. I managed to get my medicine out and they put me in a wheelchair and wheeled me at the same time to the emergency room. This is where the horror began. First of all they refused to allow me to take my seizure medicine, yes they said if they're on a table in front of me and just watch me having a seizure refusing to give me my medicine. Then 6 people count them six held me down while I was having the seizure forcing my arms to the side and preventing my head from turning. Now mind you this is the year 2015 this is not the dark ages, and any medical personnel especially in the ER should know you do not hold a patient having a seizure down that is the worst thing you can do. But these darn idiots thought I was some out-of-control drug addict! Totally unbelievable to me. Then to make matters worse they injected me full of some horrible psychotic drug called Haldol that set me on some kind of a terrible terrible hallucinogenic experience that I will never forget. I thought I was going to die for sure_ no joke there. For someone who has never been drunk or even smoked a cigarette in my life it was something that was unconscionable to me that in the year 2015 in a "professional" environment they could treat someone like this. To make matters worse, these people have the ability to do some kind of three day hold on you with the stroke of a pen claiming you are mentally ill, or a danger to yourself or others. So here we haven't the same old stereotypical prejudices of patients who have seizures claiming they are mentally ill. So what did they do? They admit you to the hospital for 3 days and they do this because they know you have insurance and they can soak your insurance company. Then as if that isn't enough to add insult to injury they ship you off to their "sister" hospitality which is a "looney bin", location in Rockledge which it seems is a very well hidden secret. It looks like it was a former prison, complete with bars on the windows and metal screens. I won't even tell you what went on in there watch the show "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" and you will know completely that these places still do exist. The only thing that saved me was having a wonderful husband on the outside and these people finding out very quickly that I was one of them an RN who could not be held against my will. It is just amazing what goes on in this country having come from an Island where people are treated very well, and humanely -Hawaii. I was shocked as to what I was seeing here "done to me" on the mainland. I have been hearing many many times over and over that Wousthoff is in fact called WORST OFF. I certainly see how they got that name.
I hope people read this and stay far far away from this place. BEWARE!!!!! Make sure at all times you have another responsible adult with you. This place is literally a house of horrors. It is a shame what the medical profession has become. To add insult to injury they have the nerve to send us a bill for several hundred dollars. Needless to say they won't see a penny from me. And it's very convenient to see how none of these hospitals can be sued."
