Winchester Medical Center Inc: "This is my second review for a bad rating.
My husband and I were in a terrible scaffolding accident which we fell over 20 feet. I ended up with 3 brain lacerations and a concussion. I broke my are in 4 pieces and broke my wrist and destroyed my legs. What does Winchester Medical do? They let me suffer for 8 days before fixing my broken arm. My sister stayed with me day and night. Apparently they did not have the correct insurance in file so they treated me the lowest rate you imagine. My sister said they drugged me up so much I did’t know which way was up. She said I cried every day and begged them to fix my arm. She pleaded with them to send me to Fairfax with my husband instead of leaving me to suffer. She said they left my arm unattended and I suffered. Not until 8 days later and fixing my arm did I realize where I even was. Apparently whoever is rating this hospital has not had any serious issue. I have lost two friends in this hospital which should have never happened. Even a nurse told me to get across the county line to Loudoun and call 911. My issue now is I suffer with remembering, I have constant nightmares of me hurting and suffering. I wish I would have been sent to Fairfax, they say my husband received the best service ever and me I was left to suffer. They had my husbands insurance card because he had his wallet on him when he fell. I wish they would have realized we had the same insurance company. "

Winchester Medical Center Inc: "This is honestly the worst hospital ever!
My husband was bit by a copperhead snake. I rushed him to The emergency room. They did venom test but he was negative. The physician on duty (not professional) stated he had no idea why my husbands foot was read and swollen to an ungodly size. He stated he had never seen anything like it. I immediately went into panic mode and googled my husbands condition and immediately a picture looking identical to my husbands foot came up stating it was cellulitis. When the doctor returned I ask if it could be cellulitis. He scoffed at me and left the room. They kept plugging pain killers into my husband nonstop. The doctor said we will admit him to the hospital. My husband stayed all night and by this time it was swollen all the way up his leg to the thigh! Again another doctor visited and again I ask about the possibility of cellulitis, she gave me an annoyed look and said she would talk to "the other doctor".
In comes the therapist, the two ask my husband to stand, he tried but was in pain and wailed. They gave a little snicker and left. Finally I told my husband we have got to get you out of here and get help. I didn't know where to turn since it seemed every doctor was arrogant and wouldn't listen. The physicians made an appointment with a doctor for a week later. We went to that appointment, this doctor was clueless and told us to come back next week. It was heart wrenching and scary. Finally while at church one of the members looked at my husbands foot and told him he needs immediate attention to go to Med Express that he has cellulitis! We went to MedExpress, registered, sat down in the waiting room with other people but were called almost immediately.
The nurse came in checked my husband then the doctor came in and stated my husband has cellulitis and he needed shots immediately. He gave my husband shots and antibiotics, he explained that any longer and my husband could have lost his leg!!
He told us we need to dispute the hospital. When I contacted the hospital I was told to contact Douglas Lupton, he refused to help in anyway and accused us of being dishonest. I would not send my pet to this hospital. They are arrogant and are there only for the money, they have no concern about an individuals wellbeing. I was sent a Phenomenal hospital bill with the cost of therapy included. If you can make it to another hospital I would go to another location first."
