Willis Knighton Bossier Health Center: "I was in ER Monday evening an night. When I finally got to back to ER in hall. I had the most rude and unsanitary nurse ever Her Name was Marain and was on the 7-7 shift. She state she need to get IV in me. Which I understood. She tried blew by vain. 1 small pad with one small piece of tape. Blood went everywhere. She left and walked off . I had to ask someone else for some alcohol pads to clean my hand which was covered in blood sitting in the hallway of ER. She came back and said. Said that's my job to get an IV. Never said I am sorry this might hurt . Stated it happen's. Very rough. Then she went to my other arm and put IV were the lab had just taken blood in right arm in elbow area. It was getting close time for her to get off. she never came back to check to see if ok. I was sitting right in front of nurse's station and watched her just roam around. My arm was hurting and the next nurse said it was a bad IV . It was leaking under my skin. She put another IV in right hand and was very nice.I think her name was Stacie. The dr. Boyd was great." - Carolyn

Willis Knighton Bossier Health Center: "My mother is in the covid unit and I can not deal with the lack of compassion from some of your nurses. This is so hard for me and my family right now. The day nurses are great, but at night, the ADMINISTRATIVE team is not walking the hospital. My mother is afraid to ask for anything or even let them know she is in pain because she is afraid they will be mean to her. WHAT IS GOING ON? I dropped items off to make her life easier because at this point, we can't be with her and help her. The security guard said he dropped them off at the nurses station, but the nurse said they never got them????? Earlier today, I dropped off fruit because she is not eating a lot of hospital food and it stood at the nurses station for over 2 hours...when I called the nurse was rude and said I took it to her 20 minutes ago....cold watermelon - not cold anymore and the nurse said well it was in a sealed container. I am worried about my mother.....I spoke to the patient advocate today thinking things would be easier...I won't even say what response I received. I can't even imagine what she is going through.
The first few days was a lack of communication. I had to beg someone to call me. I've cried many tears and believe me "ME and MY FAMILY" do not know what to do for our mother. I am just asking to talk with someone about the issues. I know you are understaffed and your nurses are overworked, but no excuse for the lack of compassion, help when my mother needs it and a friendly response to how is my mother doing? "
