Upmc Mercy: "I am waiting in mercy er over 3 hours and fear I’ll be here another 3. I have a knee injury and came to mercy thinking it is orthopedic focus. I wish that personal would advise of extraordinary wait time when I arrived. After a very very long 3 1/2 hours in waiting room I want to leave but after putting in so much time I am torn. The hospital should alert patients to such extended wait time upon arrival so a decision could be made upon entry. Mary beier. " - Mary

Upmc Mercy: "Yesterday I took my son to the emergency room at UPMC Mercy. He presented with severe abdominal pain, vomiting, fever and nausea. Eight hours later he was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. He was not admitted and no referral to a gastroenterologist was given. Only a prescription for Percocet was written. Today I took him to a gastroenterologist who was recommended by a friend. As per this doctor, the wrong tests were administered at UPMC Mercy. He sent us to the hospital with which he is affiliated. The correct tests were done and my son was admitted to that hospital." - sydney
