University Of Tn Memorial Hospital: "I went to the emergency room early in the morning a few weeks ago. I had been having some issue and I didn't know what was causing it. My symptoms where quite strange and not common at all. When I explained what I had been experiencing to the doctor on staff, he proceeded to tell me that what I was saying was not medically possible. I sat in a room in the emergency section of the hospital for around 12 hour and rarelt saw any medical staff and when I did, they didn't do much or provide any treatment at all. After 12 hours and the staff not examining me at all or getting samples to test, the doctor said I must have been Hallucinating and that I was fine. I went home and after a few days my condition worsened daily until I was in terrible paid and what started as something in 1 area of my body had now spread from head to toe.

If the doctor would have listened to what I was telling him and actually examined me properly, I'm sure I would got the correct treatment and I would have starting to recover soon after. Therefore I will not go to UT hospital ever again. "

University Of Tn Memorial Hospital: "I was experiencing chest pains with a history of blood clots and pulmonary embolism. Sat in the ER waiting room for 7 hours before signing a release and leaving. It was so unorganized and a total madhouse. They took me to triage and put an IV and sent me back to waiting room. I told them all my info at that time. They said no rooms were available. There were people in the waiting room that had been there way longer than me. The waiting room was full of people coughing and if we don't get sick it will be a miracle. There was a guy bleeding out his nose and they didn't even give him towels. My husband was running his caregiver paper towels from the deli counter. He was screaming for help for over 2 hours. After 4 hours of waiting and not getting called back fro my CT scan, I went to the nurses station to ask for an update. She said they couldn't tell me anything but I needed to give her a urine sample for a pregnancy test. I had already told them in triage I had a hysterectomy in 2005. They were not communicating with each other or bothering to look at the computer. After 7 hours I decided to leave and take my chances. I'd rather die in my own bed than in a waiting room at an ER that obviously can't treat their patients. The girl at the desk was horribly rude. I will never go back to UT again." - Deb

University Of Tn Memorial Hospital: "The wait for someone who is seriously ill or even those who don’t know what’s going on but they already said it may be fluid on they lungs and signs of congestive heart failure is ridiculous I get most people come in drugged up so they have to treat them too but the wait time for anyone at this point is almost 10 hours or more of just sitting in the lobby even the people who are actually SICK have to wait just as long as them if not longer it makes zero sense. (unless you are elderly/hospice or pregnant) Trust a believe they have enough staff but if it ain’t COVID related or they already had a stroke or heart attack they don’t care! There is no real “preventive” care it no longer matters " - Not
