Thomas Memorial Hospital: "I went to Thomas Memorial ER for excruciating pain in my stomach. Unbeknownst to me the procedures at the ER changed. Rather than taking you back into the examination room they now stick you multiple times if certain tests are ordered. When a blood test is ordered they stick you, when a CT Scan is ordered they stick you, and then after being returned to the waiting room after each test you are called back to the examination room where you are put in the room. A nurse then comes in and, guess what, you are stuck again. A doctor then comes in and tells you his diagnosis. They then make the decision whether or not to keep you or send you home. I was there for approximately 6 1/2 hours and was then sent home. I'm not complaining about being sent home, it's the process used now by the hospital to make the decision made. What if I had something seriously wrong, with the severity of pain I had and medical condition I have, I could have died while sitting in the waiting room!!! I have been in this delema numerous times and nearly died at this same hospital. My concern with this new procedure is that there are more than just me that may be more serious!!! I heard a patient, who was waiting in the waiting room, say her last visit she kept telling the nurses she didn't feel good and ultimately ended up having a heart attach while waiting!!! This is unacceptable!!! And something needs to be done to prevent this from happening again! I don't know how many others have been neglected because of this new procedure which Thomas Memorial Hospital believes to be a better way to process patients. However, the possibility of lives being at an increased risk of being lost! There has got to be someway to get this hospital to reevaluate and change their ER procedures. " - Cynthia

Thomas Memorial Hospital: "I went to CAMC ER for excruciating pain in my back. 8/10 can't sleep, can't walk, can't work... I needed something for the pain, CAMC does not give meds for pain! Wtf? Anti inflammatory, muscle relaxer, Steroids....but nothing for pain. For too long, people have let stupid run rampant. Now govt bureaucrats are dictating medical necessity from DC, for all of America. If someone is hurting, give them medicine! Why did we allow our bodies to fall under govt regulation? " - Chris

Thomas Memorial Hospital: "Thomas Memorial ER is a koke. After waiting 5 1/2 hours in extreme pain. I found there were 12 pushed ahead of me. I returned 2 days later to radiology to pick up my xrays. I had a fractured rib. No one had called me. I was not the only one while business men, employees and just friends of employees were pushed ahead. There was actually one good nurse on the 8th of Oct on duty. No compassion what soever shown by employees. Never again" - Barbara
