Thibodaux Regional Medical Center Stories

Thibodaux Regional Medical Center: "12-6-16 2:00pm
My mother arrived at Thibodaux Regional ER by ambulance.
Symptoms HIGH, uncontrollable blood sugar, confusion, and weakness.
Ambulance drivers put her in a room, nurse or assistant hooked up leads and everyone abandoned her for 50 minutes. Person came in with computer to ask billing questions.
Doctor walked in at about 65 minutes.
I am shocked and appalled that a medical staff member did not test her sugar or do any triage work upon arrival and left her for an hour.
I called the ER manager and she said "the hospital is having growing pains and they have a new group of doctors and NEW PROCESSES.
Thibodaux Regional has been an award winning hospital in the past - I cannot understand why they would CHANGE PROCESSES AND GO BACKWARDS.
They are NOT an award winning Team now.
I am extremely disappointed in their work.
I will say that the doctor and staff are very nice.
They need to understand that NICE does NOT SAVE LIVES." - Pennne
