The Hospital At Westlake Medical Center Stories

The Hospital At Westlake Medical Center: "My wife had back surgery at this hospital and stayed for 2 days and nights. Worst experience ever and she has had many experiences at other hospitals. Except for one nurse that really cared, patient care or attention to patience care was almost non-existent. The hospital could be considered a boutique hospital with very nice rooms but that is where it ended. When I picked her up, she had two days of hospital trash in her room and the bathroom. Bed sheets and bed pads were still wet from urine. The floor was littered with an old glove and lunch service had not been picked up by 2 pm. She had to dress herself since no one was available to help and the nurses station usually was empty. Short on staff, it was obvious! It's too bad that I cannot attach pictures of her room. Unless you are in an emergency situation and this is the nearest hospital, go there. Otherwise, stay away. The surgery was a success but she came home with a badly swollen left hand because they used adhesive tape which she is very allergic too and asked them not to use it (bracelet on other hand also stated "no adhesive tape"). She also sported a very large bruise on the inside of the same arm. " - Dieter
