Tacoma General Allenmore Hospital: "I’ve had a history of complications during pregnancy, and in the past year lost two babies and had emergency surgery as well as another surgery to help me carry a healthy pregnancy. I’m 14 weeks and have had scares of miscarriage, including bleeding and then most recently leakage of fluid. My OB nurse told me to go to the er because they don’t have the test available to see what fluids I’m leaking. I was at the ER a total of 6 hours and not one person told me anything, and was dragging out the visit by spreading the tests out, so the test I originally went to get they didn’t plan to give me until after I’ve been sitting for six hours, which is a simple swab to see if the baby is okay.
The second nurse was so frustrating and unhelpful, and told me they aren’t a birthing or delivery center, (My OB told me to go there to get my amniotic fluid tested specifically, and it’s the same ER I went to when my water broke on my last miscarriage) but after what she said, I told them to take my IV out and I left. I don’t see the point in sitting so they can bill my insurance and not help me at all, but rather tell me they aren’t a specific speciality, when they have the tests available and had it sitting on the tray next to my bed for hours. I’m not giving birth, I’m trying to see if my baby is okay or if I’m leaking fluids, and six hours with no answers. I asked to take my IV out and got dressed and the same lady finally came in and told me to if I was leaving I had to sign her paper or she would call security on me, to sign the paper lol.. I never refused to sign the paper, I was willingly leaving because of the poor treatment and asked her if she’s the one who said over the microphone that’s they aren’t a delivery and birthing center and she said yes because we aren’t, now sign this paper or I’m calling security, at which point they were still taking my IV out and the guy said hold on and let him finish taking the IV out, while she’s rushing me to sign the paper, and he’s not even finished with my arm. I’m being a Karen and I do not care when it comes to my health and pregnancy.. Then she proceeded to tell me to go out the wrong exit, which would have lead to me walking around the hospital to go find my car... but thankfully the security informed me of their misinformation and helped me to my car.."
