St Vincent's Birmingham: "On Tuesday June 21, I took my daughter to the E.R. at St. Vincent's hospital. She was in excruciating pain. We arrived at 8:24 pm, according to the sign in by the person up front. There were not many patients with hospital band on their arms in the waiting room. However, when I was relieved by another family member at 12:04 pm, she had still not been seen by a physician. Where is the compassionate care I see advertised on TV about St.Vincent's Hospital?

St Vincent's Birmingham: "Well unlike some I don’t pick a choose by color or refer to by color. It’s amazing to me how some ppl only consider that a certain color was nice! Unbelievable, racist, small minded. I went last night also with kidney stone all of the nurses an staff was very kind even when I was complain about my pain. But the doctor there treated me as if I was a drug addict because I am in pain management. He was very hateful, snide, an should even be a doctor!!! I believe his name was Reddington. I’m a 58 yrs old definitely not an addict! I ask him for 5 narco just to get me thru the pain until they pasted. Then he said he wouldn’t! Then he said oh I’ll give you tramadol laughed an said oh that’s right you can’t take that with a smirk sarcastically! When he came in at that time I was laying there ( to shots an I still had sharp pain) I had my head under the cover with my phone in hand,he proceeded to say I was asleep an the shot must be working. I told him I wasn’t asleep you can see my phone in my hand. Then he argued that I was to asleep. I told him that the shot did work to a point but I still had stabbing pain. He told me to take the meds I have an you will be fine! Well as he knew I can only take it as prescribed an no more! If it was working then I wouldn’t be there! He told me “ oh well “ I was appalled! He was a @&: ^*€|¥#! What the hell is he doing there with that attitude! " - LT

St Vincent's Birmingham: "I'm not sure what has happened at St Vincent's.ER I'm Bham,
But my experience was shocking. Last night my father was taken there by ambulance. I arrived and was treated kindly by the security staff. The unit clerk, in fact every black.person that greeted and helped me were so so kind.
The nurses- ALL.WHITE, Wih exception to a male nurse who was nice and so helpful,
These people are awful. They are so angry and act as if they could be anywhere else. The unit clerk wouldn't even look up from the screen to greet me.
Just cold. Ansh dad was diagnosed with pancreatits. He asked his nurse for pain meds a.secons time, no answer.
Then 7 PM shift came on and they were so helpful.
The male nurse took care.od my Dad.
My Dad was sick sick and unable to stand alone.
He had.to use the urinal. We asked two times and no.even showed up!
Not even the nurse assistant. I helped my Dad,
And just a couple months post op spine surgery myself.
It was just a very disappointing experience. These people are cold.tjeir angry and seem miserable working here.
Get it together St Vincent's ER.
We will heading elsewhere for next emergency.
Like Grandview. Remember we have a choice.we trusted you.
And you didn't deliver. " - J
