St Mary Mercy Hospital: "My husband was a cancer patient in the icu. They put in a DNR without informing his family. It doesn’t matter what the medical condition is this is very scary. Be vey careful if you go to this hospital and read charts daily. Administration gave a bunch of double talk around the issue. " - Alex

St Mary Mercy Hospital: "I came to st.marys because my head was split open, you could see my skull. After the initial check up...blood pressure, temperature, weight and things like that. They put me back in the waiting area with me holding a towel to my head. When they finally called me back to a room 3 hours later, the end result was 19 staples and 4 stitches and I have nervou damage. Smh and I had to wait 3 hours you think that when a patient comes in and you can see their skull it may not take 3 hours for a doctor to see them...just my opinion smh" - Kimberly

St Mary Mercy Hospital: "my elderly mother had classic respiratory symptoms with a cough that had not resolved in 4 days, when she started to bring up scant amounts of blood with her coughing episodes. We were concerned she had developed pneumonia, and because she is also on an anticoagulant, we didn't want to wait until after the holiday to have her seen. We could not locate an urgent care center that was open, and ended up at the ER. We were in the ER for 5&1/2 hours to diagnose her with pneumonia. The staff was cold and came across as uncaring. We were left for 1&1/2 hours before a resident came to collect the history and do an exam, and was unaware of her medicine history that we had already given to the RN shortly after arrival. Regardless of if the team is qualified, they are inefficient, have poor people skills, and leave the patients feeling uncared about. I will avoid this ER at all costs in the future. " - barb
