Vassar Brothers Medical Center: "My daughter went to VBMC ER on Monday, July 13, after being seen at an urgent care center, and being told to go IMMEDIATELY to the ER for heavy vaginal bleeding for over 48 hours. She is post menopausal for 5+ years. She arrived at VBMC ER about 2pm. The Nurse Practitioner at Excel Urgent Care even called ahead to be aware of her coming, and her emergent condition. At about 4:45pm, they took some blood, and returned her to the waiting room, saying, "it may be some time yet". shortly after that, she went to the the window, and said..,I really don't feel good, and I'm bleeding through my pants. The very helpful person tossed her a maxy pad. About 6pm, my very ill daughter, called her husband in Beacon,Who was not allowed to be with her, to come pick her up. She was so distressed, and bleeding so heavily, decided that being home was better than being ignored in a medical facility. I'm furious. Someone needs to be held accountable for this negligent attitude towards ill people. What is the point in calling yourself an EMERGENCY CENTER, when people are casually dismissed as ..just not important! This is not the last you have heard regarding this unforgivable incident. And the things she witnessed in those agonizing hours make my skin crawl.

Any positive reviews regarding this hospital are a fabrication from the public relations office."
