Providence Holy Family Hospital: "This was the worst hospital experience in my whole life!! I went there in so much pain I was balling my eyes out! I waited for 7 hrs! Crying the whole time. I had an IV started after 4hrs of waiting. So I assumed I would be seen soon after. It was another 3 hrs. No one ever came to check if I was alright! Or why I was crying. I got there at 5 in the evening and got a bed finally at almost 1 in the morning. I had to be dropped off by a family member because I was actually here on vacation with my 4yr old granddaughter. So I was stuck there waiting. When I did get back to a bed they did blood work and finally got something to help with the pain and then I had a CT scan. Then they gave me something that didn't help with the pain and when I told them it was getting bad still I got something else that didn't help. They then gave me a prescription of what didn't help and said that I was being discharged. I was still crying when I left there! " - Michelle

: "St. Michaels Medical Center in Silverdale is the absolute worst. I've waited more than 15 hours on a few occasions. If you go there at 5 p.m. they'll call you into a room at 11 p.m. to take your blood pressure. Then you return to waiting. That way they charge you for two days of admission instead of one. They never have a bed available and the hospital has no heat. " - James

Overlake Hospital Medical Center: "This is taking SOOO long! We are waiting in a hallway in er, in a chair, and can hear everyone else’s medical information- personal stuff we don’t want to hear. This is something I expected in NYC, not Bellevue." - Cat

Cascade Valley Hospital: "At last - I have found a site on which to express my everlasting gratitude and thanks for the excellent emergency care I received back in February 2023. The hospital staff was a team of top professionals from the surgeon to the nursing team that kept me going before and after my Ostomy surgery. I am fortunate to have found Cascade Valley Hospital by way of 911 on the morning of February 18,2023. Your records will show my insides were a mess. Dr Bregar MD was the surgeon. My stoma has been admired as just perfect, and pretty, by professionals in the area where I have been treated since leaving Arlington. I have great affection for the nursing staff. I remember especially Amy from the delivery room who was there every morning to care for me and keep me company during the day. Nurse Nancy who gave me "get acquainted" lessons about the care of the Ostomy and support equipment. The male nurses teased me with switching identities and names. Although I was too doped up to respond quickly I know when Paul was Paul and when he was Mark and how many Marks there were on the staff. They kept me guessing and that was good for my recovering brains. Dr Bregar was so kind when he gave me the choice between Hospice for a couple of weeks or very risky surgery for anyone my age (or even half my age). Since I was "going out" either way, I chose the surgery and have lived to tell about it to a few close friends. I could go on and on about the view from my hospital window, the midnight care, and the freedom with which my family and a couple of close friends could visit me. They did not have to wait until visiting hours. They did not have to go through security checks along the way. They did have to drive an 80 mile round trip each time they came to be with me. My youngest daughter even took a hotel room for three nights to be with me. I could go on and on. My aged hands and fingers have not been able to find time to try and write a letter of thanks, commendation and whatever else it takes to tell you all just how much appreciation I have to you and for you for saving my life (literally) during the end days of February and the beginning of March. May Cascade Valley Hospital continue to prosper and give caring service to the Skagit Valley population. They are so fortunate to have you there. You are wonderful. Many, many thanks. Anne Mcbride.
