Family of woman who died after she was sent home from hospital while suffering a heart attack has been awarded $275,000 in compensation.
A Wayne County family received the compensation for her death.
April 28th, 2020, she was taken to the Lawrenceburg hospital suffering with chest pains, but doctors sent her home after they ran tests to determine illness .
The woman had on a heart monitor which she had been wearing as part of a study . Despite wearing a heart monitor, as well as having medical symptoms associated with female cardiac arrest, the Lawrence county ER sent the women home.
The Wayne county woman, however died the next day, according to her family .
Her family's attorneys allege negligence by the doctors at the hospital.

The above could have been the outcome for a lady who visited the Lawrence County Hospital .
Lawrenceburg ER could find nothing wrong with the patient. She was released. Within 12 hours another ambulance was called to her home. This time, the woman was sent to a neighboring Regional hospital. The second Regional Hospital ER staff admitted the woman and saved her life .
The Lawrence County Hospital should have kept her overnight and not dismissed her.
