Southern Regional Medical Center: "Before Covid 19 My Family have been Patients at This Hospital for many years...Even while it was Named "Clayton General Hospital" and Everyone was So much more Friendly and Nicer back then...but Now The ER Staff are very helpful & friendly Except for a few..but since Covid Some Nursing Staff & Head Nurses are very Rude and I used to Always Stay with my Mother 24/7 for Many Years...and for the Past Few Years since my Mother has had Dementia Alzheimer's (and Delirium during Her Hospital Stays...Her Last 2 Here at Southern Regional Hospital had to be Alone & Without me and She did NOT Understand WHY? I couldn't stay with Her and She wanted to Know "If I Loved Her?" Because I wasn't with Her...and Now She is in Heaven with Jesus and I am Sad without Her... Dementia Alzheimer's Patients NEED A FAMILY MEMBER WITH THEM EVERY TIME for Their Hospital Stays...I am Sharing This in Hopes That This Awful Hospital Policy Will CHANGE For FUTURE PATIENTS...For Patients To Get Well Their Mental Situations & Needs Should be Considered & Taken Care Of as Well as Their Physical Healings also. And A Patient SHOULD be able To Go To The Hospital as MANY Times as They NEED To REGARDLESS Of IF They are Being Treated For The EXACT SAME PROBLEMS EVERY TIME...Especially IF They have ANY FORMS OF MEDICAL INSURANCE. I Wish This Hospital was like it USED To Be...More Friendlier and Considerate and More Kinder To NOT Just The Patients but TO Their Families and Caregivers. Thank you For Your Time and Consideration Concerning These Matters Shirley L Hicks
