: "My son presented to the ER at UTSW Clements hospital Dallas with severe chest pain and back pain. No one seemed care about the urgency of his issue everyone kind of gave him a side eye. He was crying with excrutiating pain. There seemed to be no protocol for his chronic illness. This is so not acceptable. So disappointed. " - Tonia

Midland Memorial Hospital: "Went to the emergency room on Illinois on Thursday night. I had blood running down my face and a yellow substance coming from my left ear. I had no idea what it was and with the most excruciating pain I've ever had in my ears. I called an ambulance because my balance had become non-existent and I was afraid to drive. First thing that happened was the ambulance driver asking me if I thought an earache warranted a ride in the ambulance. WTF!!! I didn't want to have to call an ambulance at all. I needed help. Then at the hospital I was told I had an ear infection. I was given two pain shots, an anti-nausea shot, and sent home. I asked them if I needed an antibiotic for the infection and I was told no. Huh? By Monday, I was delirious with pain and my right ear began to pour blood. I was basically deaf in both ears by then and I had developed Bells Palsy on the left side of my face. I went back to the er Monday night. He said I had infections in both my ears. I asked what they usually prescribed for infections and I was told antibiotics. I said I had been there in the er on Thursday night and asked about antibiotics and was not given any. I believe if I had been, the return trip on Monday night would not have been necessary. I was given a CT Scan and more pain meds. I never saw the doctor again and I had to walk out of the room and was not wheeled out in a wheelchair even though I could barely walk a straight line. I once again left the er without being given a single antibiotic for severe infections in both ears and Bell's palsy.. I was sent home with a prescription for pain meds, an oral tablet for the ear infection and NOTHING for the paralysis of my face. If I ever have to go to the er again, I won't be going to Midland Memorial. " - Anonymous

Peterson Regional Medical Center: "I will only go to this emergency room again if I am dying. I was left on a hard indescribably uncomfortable slab of a bed frozen as if I was in a freezer for 7 hours without observation. I felt completely ignored. I was not given a drink or anything to eat and was told the cafeteria was closed later in my long wait. Finally, I was given a dry sandwich. Most of all, I was not reassured by any of the staff that my condition was not an emergency. The doctor was extremely pleasant but I had to wait, as I said, many hours to see him. " - Sally
