Salina Regional Health Center: "2021 I had history of having 2 strokes. I went in stating that I had had a stroke and needed TPA treatment and they would not find the stroke on CT only on a MRI. My previous strokes were located in my Pons. I had explained that these strokes present differently than the most common ones. I was able to move my arms and legs and speak without any impairment. They delayed treatment and refused to give TPA and said they were calling in the MRI tech but it would be 4 hours until she would arrive. I could not afford waiting so I said to nurse please remove my IV and I was leaving. I drove to Topeka Stormont Vail Trauma Center and I had 15 mins left of my 4 hour window. They quickly did a MRI and CT and saw that I had another stroke and gave me the TPA treatment. I was able to recover from that stroke due to the fast acting knowledgable doctors there. Nothing good to say about the unprofessional, unknowledgable, incompetent doctors at Salina Regional Hospital." - Sheri
