Saint Luke's East Hospital: "I CHECKED IN AT 3:15PM 4/7/25 Waited almost 4 hours with no update and checked out. Went to Mercy and was seen be a Dr in 1.5 hours. Terrible E R experience after being told by office staff of mid county orthopedic the could not get me in to see Dr. Just go to ER.

Saint Luke's East Lee's Summit Hospital: "I came to the ER with my sister who was having trouble catching her breath and the nurse said she was at risk for tachycardia. We waited in the ER for 4 hours before my sister refused to stay any longer and we left. There will always be someone that comes into the ER with a more severe issue and those persons were always taken to a room before she was...which is why we had to wait so long. They need more staff. Today I'm back with my sister. The nurse called to let them know she was coming in because she needed a blood transfusion. They sent her to the ER....again. she has been here since 3pm.it is now 7pm and she has not been called to go to a room yet. The triage nurse said the wait at St Luke's East ER is 4 to 5 hours normally. SMH" - Staci

Saint Luke's East Lee's Summit Hospital: "Currently in the Saint Luke’s ER waiting room (nothing life threatening). We have been here for over an hour and a half. There is literally no one else in the waiting room. People keep coming out, but they have yet to take us back. This is not the first time we have had this issue with Saint Luke’s East. I completely understand that beds can be limited and there are other issues at play, but a little communication goes a long way instead of pretending we don’t exist. No one will even look at us let alone give us an update on how long it might be. The communication and compassion is absolutely terrible." - Nikki
