Saint Barnabas Medical Center: "Third time this month my daughter has been here for a kidney stone. First they said it was UTI. A few days later they said she had a kidney stone and said they were too busy to zap it..she is back two weeks later in agony again. Doctor said he would be there at 7pm..ER said nothing mattered, she had to wait her turn which is currently 5 hours.
Never again. This place is hit or miss..and we missed. " - Nancy

Saint Barnabas Medical Center: "St Barnabas ER is worse than the 3rd world hospitals you see on the news! They show people lying on gurneys in the hallways - well at least they have a place to lie down! We arrived st the St B ER at about 8 pm. There were not even enough chairs for everyone waiting! So we’re we’re all crammed together with everyone coughing and sneezing and really elderly people trying to
sleep in their chairs as the night wore on. I found a chair for my husband, but I ended up standing for the next 8 hours (which was better than one time when I was very sick and had to sleep on the floor!) until he was finally got a bed in observation at around 4 am. This despite the fact that he had a fever of over 103 after 7 days of antibiotic therapy and was obviously in big trouble! Then they stuck him in a horrible noisy cubicle with no food or water for another 8 hours before he finally got a room. All he wanted to do was sleep, but it was so noisy in that area I could not even hear him when I called to see how he was doing late in the day. And that was just the beginning of our nightmare. It’s disgusting the was St B boasts about it’s state of the art technology - and even has the nerve to solicit donations by mail - when they can’t even deliver the most basic humane patient care!!! Saint Barnabas Medical Center: "Honestly one star is being way too generous because this is by far one of the worst ER experiences EVER!!! I had many procedures done here over the years and four kids and cannot believe how this hospital has gone down the tubes. I am currently sitting in the ER waiting room with my daughter over 3 hours she still hasn’t been seen by a dr. Any sort of registration has been done in hallways with literally empty rooms all around us. Absolutely no privacy or regard to HIPA laws Bc not only are they asking my daughter medical and personal questions in the middle of people but we are hearing other patient’s information as well. I am appalled that this is what we are dealing with! After we are done tonight I will NEVER come back here again. How dare they not have any regard at least for the privacy of patience especially after you’re sitting in a waiting room like a bunch of cattle and they call you and you think you are finally going to be seen and it’s to further register you or take blood in the middle of a hallway while people are walking through and they are discussing your private information! I will make sure I post these reviews everywhere and anywhere so anyone that I can spare from this absolute horror I will!" - Daniela

Saint Barnabas Medical Center: "10/31/21
My mom arrive at hospital at midnight with my dad with a severe problem. They told my parents to wait till he was call after 3.5 hours of waiting my mom notice everyone after him was called register and got a bed while my dad waited and was smelling because of something the hospital did the day before... my mom told me everyone who enter was colored and they were white...She got pissed and asked if they had to be color to get service. They immediately got my dad a bed without registering him...She told them he needed to be registered and have a bracelet they said not needed..they moved to a different location and waited another hour and noone attended to send a person...a nurse came almost 2 hours to take blood and was asking for his bracelet which he had none now causing a bigger confusion..God knows how long they will be there..
This hospital can't get any worse.. let see how long...the joint commission in nj is being contacted about the service in this hospital...
