: "I agree with the person who said the ER wait time is the worst i have ever come across. This is a MESS, I have been waiting 5 hrs ago!!! Id like to leave but I need a diagnosis & some relief. I've been in many ER's with my husband & have never waited this long. They need a new system!!" - Jeanine

Thomas Jefferson University Hospital: "Jefferson proudly tells you their wait time is 7-9 hours. plus +. I arrived at 7:30 pm I was not seen until 3:45am! So that is not a truthful estimate of wait time statement.
And. These are people with serious emergencies. Internal breathing, complications from surgery I.e infections among other things I think Jefferson’quality of care has plummeted over the years

Go elsewhere!"

St Luke's Hospital Bethlehem: "This is the third time my 92 yr old mother has been admitted to St Luke's only to be left in ER for 24 hrs. on time and approximately 17 hrs the other time. Each she was told you will be going up to a room shortly. That never happens and when questioned we were told "Oh were full now no rooms available" and you are on hold (whatever that means). Why do they do this? Either admit her with a room or send her home, this last time was the worst she laid in urine-soaked bedding until she figured out how to use the call bell that I had placed with her before I left(no one even placed that with her.) I should never have left her or believed that she was going up to a room shortly. Don't use this ER if possible it stinks, who treats a 92 yr old like that or anyone else for that matter! Carlisle Regional Medical Center: "My 94 yr grandma with dementia has uti, all she needs is some fluids and the hospital setting to get over this bump. The wait time there was 2 hrs b4 she couldnt take it no more. Gma started throwing up and needed to lay down so had to take her bak home while worried to death about how badly she is being affected. The ppl waiting next to her were there for 12 hrs and still waiting. 12 hrs!!!! There was even a 3rd who continuously threw up the entire time and was still waiting by time she left. Carlisle hospital needs to get their staffing, policies and capacity in a better efficient mode. Even b4 covid hit they were never efficient and minimally staffed. No wonder ppl r dying cuz they like many other hospitals r poorly prepared for the slightest influxes. We pay health insurance and taxes for wat now?
Harrisburg hospital is even rejecting ambulances tonight. Just sad situation all around. "

Geisinger - Community Medical Center: "Terrible wait times in the er department. People waiting 6 hrs to be helped, people being seen in order rather than per illness/ injury. " - Doug
