Have yet to even see a Dr. Did labs and ECG, mind you the last 2 ECGs that I've had in the last week that have been resulted by this hospital has been abnormal with a possible heart attack...still waiting and the only reason I'm waiting is because my regular doctor asked me to." - quotKatequot

Riverside Methodist Hospital: "We took my father-in-law to Riverside Hospital ER on Sunday, March 5th evening and I wanted to give a huge shout-out to the 3 nurses that helped with his care. I only know the name of his first nurse, Julia but she was relieved by another nurse who was just as wonderful! And another nurse (not even on his case) came in and helped when needed as well. These three nurses went above and beyond, never losing patience with him or us. They were kind, compassionate and caring. It warmed my heart as my father-in-law has Parkinson’s and needs patience. They explained everything to us and made sure he was comfortable. They treated him as if he was family. I couldn’t thank them enough that evening! They will never know just how much their kindness meant to our family that evening. Thank you also to Dr. Marcus who did a wonderful job explaining his procedure to us and taking great care of him! Riverside Methodist Hospital: "On 6-17-22 my daughter was sent here after urgent care felt she needed to be checked for kidney stones along with her infection. She arrived at the emergency room at 3:00pm, had a 40 minute wait in line to check in, having to sit on the floor because of pain in her lower back from the kidney infection. That was the first sign she should have turned and walked out. They called her back for blood work and for a scan by 6. By 9 pm no one had called her back to even talk to her yet. My husband I came at 9 to bring her some food and water as well as to sit with her awhile. About 10:30 i could feel she was warmer and we called someone over to check her vitals. She was now at 101.5 temperature wise form 99. earlier in the day. And still waiting. No one has even spoken to her about anything yet. At midnight, I called OSU emergency room and they only had 6 people in the waiting room so we called it and decided to go over there. (took her another 2 hours to be seen but no one could tell us when we would have been seen at Riverside and something had to be done) When we went to check out, the girl at the desk at Riverside seemed quite pleased we had decided to leave and rushed to take the port in my daughters arm out, which she had been sitting there with since the late afternoon. Fastest I saw anyone move all night. I understand there may be more urgent cases coming in but still feel it is unacceptable for someone to wait 9 hours IN AN EMERGENCY ROOM to be seen. (The poor lady sitting next to us had been there since 12:30 that afternoon.) This was low hanging fruit folks! Take care of it and move some people on or tell us of the backlog so we can find somewhere less busy to take our business. Can not express my disappointment in my daughters care at this facility and will not be returning here should we need emergency care again.

Riverside Methodist Hospital: "I had to go to the ER at Riverside October 29-30, 2021. I was shocked and surprised at the treatment I received from the ER nurse that was "helping" me. The ER was not busy at all. I walked in with severe shortness of breath and there was no urgency to the fact that I couldn't breathe. The nurse was quite dismissive and had me and my fiance sit in a room FOREVER! She told me they were waiting on an order from radiology so they could take a chest x-ray. I work in Radiology, so I called down to see if there was an order for me and THERE WAS, so one of my coworkers had the tech immediately come down and take my x-ray! Next, the nurse came in and said it would be a while before it was read. . . . . . . NOOOO, I work in transcription and our turn-around time was on point, so in other words, we were totally caught up and my x-ray would have been read, dictated and edited right away. Next, she asked did i want to take a covid-19 test, I did. She told me it would be 20 minutes for the results. She came back 1.5 hours later. Someone at that desk was bragging about being on break for over an hour. I work at Riverside, so I know there are no breaks for over an hour. After learning of my negative covid result, she said she would be back to get me in a room. After being there for 3 hours, I told her, I would follow-up with my doctor since my breathing had improved. My experience at the ER was NOT good. " - jacqueline
