Providence Hospital Stories

Providence Hospital: "I have never been to the ER of this hospital where the patient was seen any quicker than 2 hrs. Tonight was one of the worst experiences yet. My father in law, who has a history of diabetes, heart failure, and carotid blockage, arrived to the hospital ER by ambulance with severe headache, nausea/vomiting. He had already been to an urgent care which refused to treat him saying he needed to go to the ER because of the potential of having a heart attack. He was seen just long enough to start two IV lines and then place in the waiting room in a wheelchair for 5 HOURS. When they finally took him back he had a dangerously high blood pressure of over 250 systolic and over 120 diastolic. This is unacceptable. And as a former employee of this hospital I have instructed my family to never take me to this hospital for any emergency even though we live less than 3 miles away. Providence Hospital, your commitment to patient care is non-existent which is a far cry from when I was working in health care there. Apparently when Ascension took control from the Daughters of Charity they also threw everything else out the window that matters." - David
