Margaret R Pardee Memorial Hospital: "Went in for rapid heart beats concerns. Received EKG immediately, blood work. I was told the blood work was a 2 part process whereby the blood was drawn over a 2 hrs period. Chest X-ray was within first hour of arrival as well. Entire wait time was 7 hours before I was seen by doctor. The doctor had all results from EKG, blood work, and X-ray on the first room consultation and was very attentive and provided quality time for my questions and concerns. Nurses were efficient and knowledgeable about my test results. Triage area in the Hospital was extremely busy with all 20 beds full and a waiting lobby packed. Yes, it was a long wait before the doctor consultation, but on the front end they put me in priority status and thoroughly assessed my medical needs. Glad I waited because I left knowing I had quality care from all." - J

: "Had chest pains had some test run and had my results come back on my phone said some things was abnormal. My chest is still hurting the whole time I was in there and sat there for 8 hours until I just left because a nurse came out and told us it was almost a 24 hour wait for a room and to be seen. There had been people who have been there for 12 hours already .... It was honestly just crazy. Now having to make a appt with my normal doctor so I can see what's going on sense I never got to see a doctor the whole time I was at the hospital for hours and hours and hours . " - Brittany

    Onslow Memorial Hospital: "just now
    NEW
6yo eith +104 fever, vomiting, swollen lymphnodes. Waited 6 hours to be put in a room just to wait more. 7 families stood up and walked out while i was there without recieving treatment despite some of them limping or raging ear infection. A wheelchair patient asked front desk for water because he couldn't push himself and she said "no I'm not a nurse, go get a nurse." I was audibly shocked.

The worst experience at a hospital yet again, onslow county never changes... 10 years since we came here last and I wouldn't come back again even if it truly was an emergency. How embarrassing this is our only Emergency room for our entire area and it still can't help its people..."
