Prattville Baptist Hospital Stories

Prattville Baptist Hospital: "On 10-30-2023 I waited 2 hours before being taken for an exam and then only because I questioned why people who came in AFTER me were being seen before me!! Then they put me in the hallway bed and sent a male nurse to do an EKG in the hallway. He insisted on a room before he would do the test. Then they proceeded to ignore me again! If the patient is a 72 yr old gray haired woman, some level of respect is needed but just ignoring me worked for this staff. They just didn't care - a sad commentary for people who are supposed to be professionals. I'll bet these people would not want to be treated as such . The 7 hours I was there I was in real pain. The old Prattville Hospital - before Baptist - was known as a death trap/animal shelter. Baptist needs to tighten up this drifting ship before the good name of Baptist Health is dirtied and smitten. After seeing other comments from prior ER patients, it may be too late already. Wish I had not bothered with going. Would discourage anyone else from going. " - Martha

Prattville Baptist Hospital: "When you go to the ER at Prattville Baptist, your ER doctor is a contract doctor. He or she may not be in your network and their fees will not be covered by your insurance. There is no way to find out at the time of the visit if your dr is in your network or not. You don't find out until you get a bill." - Denise
