Platte Valley Medical Center Stories

Nov 17, 2023, 8:34 PM
Platte Valley Medical Center: "I arrived to ER around 3:30pm.: There were only 2 other patients. I asked for water to take my meds & I was denied it. I was not called back for 3 hrs. By that time they had roomed 6 other patients that came after me. I was placed in an empty room with 3 beds. No mattress covers,no pillows. The nurse said they don't have them anymore.
The nurse didn't come in until 1:1/2 hrs. She didn't hook me up to the monitors. She just took my blood pressure. No way to call the nurses station, no way for them to be notified of my vitals. I could have had a heart attack and died. They wouldn.'t have known. I was not taken care of.
A PATIENT DIED WHILE WAITING TO BE ROOMED AT THIS HOSPITAL!
8:25pm - Dr. finally came in to see me. He hadn't look at my blood work. Just asked why I came in. Than left. Didn't notice I still wasn't put on any monitor. Left saying he was going to find my lab work.
9:15 A nurse brought another bed in & I asked for her to hook me up to the monitor.d
And for some water %to drink & something to eat"
