Piedmont Medical Center: "Completely unbelievable registered for ER visit got confirmation number to be there at 2 p.m. it's now 9:37 p.m. and my wife who is immune compromised and unable to receive a covid vaccine it's still sitting in the waiting room. I cannot figure out for the life of me what the purpose of pre registering and waiting to go at 2 p.m. instead of just going at 11 in the morning accomplished except her sitting in the waiting room for seven and a half hours you've got to be kidding me" - Eric

Piedmont Medical Center: "My recent visit to piedmont medical center was horrible. I have severe back injuries that cause me great pain. I've had a spinal infection before. I had the same symptoms as the last one. The doctor did nothing to control the pain. I laid there in pain forever. He didn't do any testing for the infection. A very rude nurse gave me my discharge papers. I made a comment that the doctor might treat patients horribly in the country he comes from, but we expect quality health care. The nurse out loud called me a racist. She kept it up going down the hallways, while being wheeled out. She embarrassed me horribly, when I never even mentioned race. I had to travel to Charlotte where I was treated properly. I had a spinal infection. They kept me and treated the infection. Piedmont medical needs to up their game and not profile someone because of recent visits for my back. I was treated as a "drug seeker" when I actually had a infection. Doctors have no place to profile a individual. They should treat them according to the problem at hand." - Bryan

Piedmont Medical Center: "I was in the hospital with a ruptured bowel that was not diagnosed. I spent 21 days there, two weeks in severe pain even with a Dilaudid drip. They told me they couldn't give me any more pain medication. I was very sick and would have spontaneous vomiting without any warning. The nurses kept telling me to use the emesis basin, but unintentionally I would make a mess of the bed. They would be very short with me. When it came time to leave, I wanted to thank them for their care. They were in the nursing station and wouldn't open the window or even look at me when I tapped on it. Between an incompetent doctor who did not follow known established medical procedures for my condition. Other doctors involved in my care who wouldn't intervene on my behalf. I will never recommend Piedmont or my ex-doctor. Based on what he did for me he should not be practicing. Two weeks into my stay his partner did the right intervention that my doctor wouldn't do. My internist told me I was lucky I didn't die. I was so sick that I couldn't think clearly enough to help myself. I am a RN with thirty years of experience. Piedmont was a nightmare. I am so lucky to be alive. I will never touch my little toe into that hospital. Go north to the better hospitals where the nursing is good and the doctors are competent. " - Kris
