Palmdale Regional Medical Center Stories

Palmdale Regional Medical Center: "This was the worst experience. I have visited the ER 2 times )once for myself and once for husband) and each time the wait was 8 hours before ever being taken back. No check in to see if condition was worsening. The staff seemed uninterested and distracted. On my visit I listened to the Patient Access Rep plan her drinking activities that were to take place after her shit ended at 11:30pm that night. The language she used was vulgar and very unprofessional. Once I did make it to the back, the RN’s were kind, Once seen by the ER doctor, it took another 1.5 hours to be discharged. I arrived at 7:05pm and was taken back to a bed at 3:15am and discharged at 4:50am. Considering the importance of Press Ganey scores, it blows me away at how this department is run. I pray I will never have to come here for any other visits. I will drive to Valencia or Pasadena where I know excellent care is given. I would ask that the Executive Management Team re-evaluate the effectiveness of this department and check the alignment with the Core Values of Palmdale Regional Medical Center." - Kellie

Palmdale Regional Medical Center: "Worst experience of my life at palmdale regional hospital. I waited for 7 hours at the ER until I was seen by a doctor, all awhile I'm at severe pain. The ER was full with about 100 non emergency patients. Hospital policy is first come first served with no regards to the severity of the medical condition. Only 6 beds for the 100 ER patients, and you cannot get in until one is leaving. Once I got a bed it was another 6 hours until I finally got out of there. Needless to say I will never be back." - NATHAN
