Palm Bay Hospital: "It seems like they want you to leave before you get seen. 3+ hours and still in waiting room. People coming out but no one is being called." - Carey

Palm Bay Hospital: "My fiance's initial treatment was excellent. They did labs and scans within a hour and found nothing. However, she had similar symptoms back in 1988 and tried to share this information with the staff. She brought her medical papers and no one wanted to even quickly look at them. After all the diagnostic testing came back negative she was discharged. Her symptoms were unchanged and they pretty much just said to see your primary care doctor. I do not believe a hospital should discharge a patient without a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. She has pain on her right side and can barely walk without getting out of breath. I stepped in to the Emergency room to get her and she was walking alone while at least a dozen staff stood by oblivious to her situation. I asked why she is being discharged when she is in pain and having difficulty breathing. I got blank stares. I have been in Brevard county for six years and I can honestly say that the medical treatment here is in my experience, inferior to the hospitals in New England. What is the protocol when a patient goes to the ER and is released with no diagnosis and treatment plan??" - Peter

Palm Bay Hospital: "The ER doctor diagnosed my sister with pneumonia but when she said she can't afford the medication the doctor pretty much said tough luck. The same doctor said the numbness in my hand was do to a pinched nerve in my elbow and sent me home with no tests done at all. Turns out I have a neck injury and need surgery. They don't take the time to properly care for patients. The physicians assistants name is Stephanie." - Mallory
