Our Lady Of Lourdes Memorial Hospital: "My son went to the ER around 2 a.m. Nov 27. He has severe stomach pain & had been dizzy & passed out for a few seconds and fell and hit his head. He was told all of his lab work was normal and released to go home and was given a prescription for irritable bowel syndrome. He continued to have severe stomach pain, and found out yesterday (2 days later) that he actually has an 8mm KIDNEY STONE which was not revealed to him at the ER. Not sure why he was treated for IBS when clearly he had a kidney stone that was too big to pass. He was told to follow up with his Dr. Fast forward to Nov 28/29. He's STILL having excruiciating pain. Been trying for 2 days to get in touch with his Dr at Lourdes Internal Medicine to determine what to do next? It's basically been a game of phone tag. The Dr's assistant did make contact with my son, and said he would discuss with the Dr to determine the next move but never called back that day. So here it is the NEXT day, and I have called YET AGAIN to relay the msg to the Dr AGAIN that my son is STILL waiting to hear something. I was told it was NEVER relayed in all the notes/calls to the DR over the past 2 days that my son has an 88mm KIDNEY STONE, even though I told the Dr's assistant, and my son did too. Also, Going to the ER again last night was not an option. I called there and was told there was 30+ people in the waiting area waiting to be seen, and that all of the ER's are the same after a long holiday weekend. I wasn't about to let him sit in the waiting area for hours upon hours in excruciating pain waiting to be seen, and being around 30+ people with possible COVID or worse. And here it is Nov 29, and still no word from the Dr office on what to do next while my son continues to be in pain.
