Norton Hospitals: "I came to the emergency room after being told to do so by the immediate care provider I saw yesterday because my symptoms had worsened . The nurse argued with their diagnosis; she laughed when I told her what I had been treated for. I’ve seen unprofessional behavior before, but never have I been patronized by a person supposed to be providing medical care. " - Beverly

Norton Hospitals: "I came into the ER at 9:45pm on the 21st and I am still setting in the waiting room and it is now 4:20 am the 22nd. They were quick to check my vitals. But it took about an hour and a half to go to triage and it is now 4:26 am on the 22nd and I am still waiting. Nick the RN at the front desk was less that kind to us in the waiting room when we ask for an update. This it the worst ER experance I have ever incountrred. Please Respond " - Joseph

Norton Hospitals: "This Hospital has always been known as the hospital of death. It doesn't matter how big they make it, it never gets better. The emergency room dept is run by 2 year olds. They better get someone with some intelligence to run it. I knew, but I took my 86 year old father anyway. My father is 86 years old. He fell and ripped the whole top layer of his arm off. They never really examined his arm. It was like they were scared. There was a lady with her sick husband that had been there for 7 hours and never seen by a doctor. I finally left with my dad after 4 1/2 hours. We went to the Immediate Care Center next door. We were seen in about 15 minutes. What an error in judgement I had. I have been a patient of Baptist East for many years, and now, so will my dad. And the lady they sent out to calm people down, was so demeaning and ugly. " - Cindy

Norton Hospitals: "My mother entered Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY, before 5pm today, with emergent intense chest pain/ tightness, pain in her arm and between her shoulder blades. While she was initially triaged within 5ish min (vitals, EKG, blood drawn) and an initial chest xray by 5:15, it is 2:12am, a full 9 hours later, still sitting in the ER waiting area. I heard another couple say they have been here since noon, and another since 3pm. My mom was told to come back for a 2nd round of vitals, EKG, and bloodwork over 5 hours later, that took 3 minutes, so they could be "compared." That was over 3 hours ago. No one is seen leaving, and 2 (TWO) PEOPLE have been taken back in the last 4 hours. 2. The older female desk "staff" on Friday 2nd shift apparently could benefit from (ie, NEEDS) some on-the-job training on basic interpersonal communication skills and workplace professionalism. Or go find a government job, where professionalism is a welcome bonus on your luckiest day. What a sad state we are in. Oh, and the 3rd shift staff who brought out some blankets (after loudly announcing to those lowly ones of us here) that whomever wants a blanket needed to raise their hand because she wasn't making multiple trips and "[did] not like to walk back and forth." She also told an older couple, who have been here since 3pm, that the average ER wait time is 14-24 hours. (After they have been here almost 12 hours, IN THE WAITING AREA, not even seen anyone who resembles a doctor.) The website says 3 hours 7 minutes as the average, and none of this is relayed to people who are coming in for urgent care. But hey, "they're trying to get people back as quickly as [they] can... and most people are getting admitted...." Hmmmm, kinda sounds akin to fraud in other arenas... " - Lynn

Norton Hospitals: "I went to Norton Women & Children’s ER on 08/16/2021 by Ambulance. Was there for 5hrs. The triaged me & put me in a wheelchair & sat me in the waiting area for the remaining time I was there. I am autoimmune compromised & had previously been diagnosed with Covid. I was coughing up bloody phlegm. When nothing was done after 5hrs I left the hospital. I am suffering @ home now. Hopefully, I will survive this. Still coughing up blood" - Phyllis
