Northside Hospital Gwinnett: "I have to this ER (Lawrenceville GA Northside). Wait times are usually unbelievably long I've waited for at least sometimes upwards to 7 hours. So much so that my husband has dropped me off on his way to work and picked me up on his way home.
The nurses in triage are not the nicest I know they are rarely appreciated being a nurse myself I know what it's like. But a little compassion a smile a how can we help you goes a lo g way why are you a nurse if you are not a people person? "

Gwinnett Medical Center: "I waited 4 hours before I finally walked out. Obviously, triage didn't feel that an abcess that is moving through my body on the left side, with shooting pains in my head, swelling at my clavical and the back of my neck, that an Oral Surgeon told me to go to my nearest emergency room!!! The nurse that first saw me before triage, her comment was "these oral surgeons sending people to the ER and shook her head" I explained it was more than a tooth abscess, it's moving near my heart!! The dentist nor oral surgeon would extract under the circumstances. She most obviously thought it wasn't important enough because I had to walk out after seeing a dozen or more people going before me. My symptoms were also difficulty swallowing. I have also been on antibiotics for 15 days and my chest is hurting on the left side as well. There I sat. Unbelievable. They were Rude and treated me like I was only there for medication!! I went to Northside Cherokee ER on 11/20 because my face was swollen like elephant man. The dentist that told me to go there said I needed IV antibiotics cause I had pain and swelling in the neck. He sent me away with 10 days amoxicillin and NOTHING FOR PAIN. AFTER ANTIBIOTICS I ended up at an emergency dentist who prescribed me Keflex. It's been 5 additional days since then. Today I was supposed to have it extracted but was TOLD BECAUSE OF MY CONDITION GO BACK TO THE ER!!! THEY treated me like I said, like shit and I was wasting their time!! Had the ER given IV antibiotics like I needed? I would not still be suffering or in life threatening danger. I ought to sue, so help me God if it goes to my heart or brain and I don't die? YOU CAN COUNT ON IT. " - Monica
