Nazareth Hospital: "I was in the medical/clinical field. My Mother was in the hospotal/administration field.
My past experiences with Nazareth Hospital (over 7 yrs ago) WERE very good for a smallish Community site. I went to Nazareth on 10/20/22 with my 87 y.o. mother who was recently diagnosed with a pancreatic mass. We are Both Disabled.
She needed a specialized MRCP and Nazareth was the only facility that could fit us in, in a timely manner for her m.x.'s timeliness.
When we arrived I asked Richie in Security if Transport could assist my mother with a wheelchair. He looked at my, my cane and said "Why can't you do it?" I explained to him that I was disabled myself and did not have the strength to push a wheelchair let alone a person and a wheelchairback through the hospital and when I had called to make the appointmentwas that I was told to ask Security for assistance. Richie did not care for this, there was a lot of sighing and computer key jabbing, and then nastily asking for "ID", then cutting me off when I asked a question or tried to explain something. I went to a house phone got an operator and asked for transport and was informed that Security should be helping me after all. When Richie brought my mother to Registration she signed in, and put her appointment time. Richie snapped at my 87 year old Mother, "Don't do that, that's not right, it ain't 08:30, what are you doing?, it's 8:02, that's what you put!"
I, in all my days, would and have NEVER spoken to an Older person like that, let alone a PATIENT OR SOMEONE'S PARENT. Maybe Richie was having a bad day, maybe Richie dislikes Democrats, maybe Richie needs Not to be around Sick People Who Need Patience And Compassion.
In addition, the front "loading and unloading zone" has now become the food delivery area with 2-3 parked up to 20 minutes (yes, I timed it, i was bored) blocking the pedestrian walkway from the visitors parking lot.
I Do Not Know What Has Shifted In The Attitudes Of The People Working At Our Nazareth Hospital but I Will Not Be Returning By Choice." - Kathleen

Nazareth Hospital: "I believe the only reason this facility exists is the fire rescue takes you here if you live within certain boundaries. Most people beg them to take a patient to other hospitals. If they call and the other e.r. is full you land at Nazareth. Hospital is dirty, staff seems unhappy they are working there.main problem is they want to hold onto the patient when they should be moved to another hospital . Last experience in the fall was a nightmare. Fire rescue again. Very poor condition. Two dr. Actually verbally sparring beside. The dr. Who was standing up for the patient was a good and honorable man. I do not know how he works there. He told us the truth. Other dr I think was trying to see how far he could go with treatment. Very sad.that is just the latest in a long line of horror stories. When the man at the desk actually tells yuh ou to get your loved one the hell out of here ......what else can be said" - Ree
