Morristown Memorial Hospital: "After a car accident with a broken leg and diabetes and HBP she waited in the ER 30 hours for a bed. There were people next to her waiting 2 days for a bed. There were bed in the hall you could hardly pass by. It looks like a major fire Hazzard. Third c world country conditions. She had surgery. Now has covid." - Brenda

Morristown Memorial Hospital: "I drove myself to the ER last Saturday in the morning and it was quite empty. All in all my visit took 7 hours and thank goodness all necessary tests showed nothing apparently serious was wrong. My first issue is this: I am a young senior citizen and the first Doctor who greeted me referred to me as "Meemaw". I was startled as well as highly offended. Age discrimination affects us all. Second, I basically ended up diagnosing myself (Dr. Google) and my primary doctor agrees and I appreciate your thoroughness but jeez 7 hours and my blood pressure was pretty high. And the final straw was when I asked the person at the desk if they would validate my parking ticket, she assured me that there would be a person there. I told her that there had not been one when I arrived but she said there would be one now. There wasn't. I had to pay for the full 7 hours. That and Meemaw. Dismal." - L.A.

She went for 26 hr barley eating no fluids but a little oj. We just got home and now she can't even firm asentence and is acting like she's had a stroke, but I'm afraid to take her back. " - Gwen

Morristown Memorial Hospital: "I’m not sure what all the hype is with Morristown Memorial and their high rankings although I can’t judge too much as I was not in a life threatening emergency situation so I won’t be too critical of my experience however it was very average and no better or worse than most other hospitals I’ve experienced which you’d expect them to at least be a little better with their worldwide too 50 ranking! SMH! My first complaint is their lack of attention to detail and lack thoroughness regarding basic standard procedures for any hospital you walk into! For example, I had a variety of issues all going on at the same time which is why I decided to go to the hospital in the first place so they could sort through everything and do all the tests right there to get to the root of what I had going on which was a trifecta of infections one being a UTI, another a Sinus Infection, and the last being likely a staph infected cellulitis abscess under my arm! The reason why I said likely is because the sorry ass Doctors/Staff somehow decided it wasn’t worth doing a culture of either my blood or the Abscess drainage or both which is totally unacceptable and irresponsible being that it could’ve been MRSA even though it wasn’t thankfully they still need to go through the motions of ruling that out along with pin point the exact strain of bacteria causing it as well as most importantly making sure the infection didn’t spread into my bloodstream which a blood culture absolutely needed to be done in addition to a CMP & CBC just to see my general health or to rule out anything else wrong with me! I honestly don’t believe I’ve ever been to an ER where they have done a CMP & CBC just for shits and giggles because those two labs can tell a decent doctor a lot regardless of what you’re coming in for yet this top 50 ranked hospital in the “World” is the only place that for some reason decided it wasn’t necessary along with a blood culture for someone who has 3 simultaneous bacterial infections as the reason for going to the hospital in the first place is just gross negligence on their part! Now, I did survive and everything worked out but there’s a reason why those tests are available and no matter how sure any doctor might be about something it should always be verified if a source of verification is available which they’re a hospital that has all at their disposal! The worst part if that lackadaisical display of modern medicine wast enough, when I asked if they could do a sinus culture in order to check for antibiotic resistance and see which will work best for me those scumbags just straight up lied to my face saying they don’t can’t do sinus cultures at their facility however they did do a urine culture so if you can do a urine culture how or why can’t you do a sinus culture! Also, even if they were telling the truth(which they weren’t) they can still do the culture and send it out to an external laboratory if for whatever reason their equipment that can culture urine somehow but can’t culture sinuses or any other bodily material when I’m sure if you can do one you can do all! Not only the medial negligence of everything they chose not to do in terms of tests, it’s also piss poor business practices to not make the hospital money but ordering those tests because they gotta make a ton of profit on tests performed in their own laboratory and it’s not like I wasn’t insured as I have full coverage health insurance so as long as there was a reasonable medical necessity which all that takes is the proper diagnostic codes and not even necessarily physical necessity which is at the doctors discretion to test for whatever they want to test for! I’m not trying to say that doctors should test recklessly just for the sake of making the hospital or themselves money but at least provide the basic yet thorough exams, testing, and procedures necessary to give the most accurate diagnosis together with the proper/correct treatment! These fools on the other hand were simply guessing and being lazy at my expense had they guessed wrong! " - Bruno

Morristown Memorial Hospital: "This is a dangerous place for ppl in an emergency. They lie to patients, disregard conditions and symptoms.

Once their doctors make an assumption about a patient they ignore medical history. "

Morristown Memorial Hospital: "Absolutely HORRIBLE hospital! I went there because an anti-anxiety med Buspar made me manic when my Dr. raised it. They doubled the Buspar and put me on Lamictil too quickly because they thought I was Bi-polar.I had 18 horrible mental and physical symptoms including losing most of my memory, severe panic attacks, diareah for 2 months straight, and couldn't walk. I saw 4 psyche Dr's and NONE of them realized they were from the meds. Discharged me after 2 weeks while still VERY sick with no follow up care in place. Had to go to another hospital for 2 weeks to wean off half of them, then when home a missed 1 dose of Lamictil ,went into severe withdrawal and my symptoms got worse. Went to the ER and the Dr. discharged me because I "looked better". Had to go to a Detox for 2 more weeks and pay $1000 a day. They either don't know what they are doing, or just want to keep patients there for the money, or like getting a kickback from Big Pharma. Save yourself... DON'T GO THERE!!!!!
