Medical West, An Affiliate Of Uab Health System: "This would be the McDonalds of medical facilities. Unless you show them you actually know who to call to complain about doctor incompetence or a nurse bedside manner-in the ER and especially in the hospital- they will actually laugh at you as you call their administration. I had to complain to the state. They kicked my friend out of the hospital-not transferee my friend with the life threatening illness-on her butt literally and in her gown because she kept asking for help to pee and for two hours was told everything from quit whining to the world doesn’t revolve around you from several staff and nurses. By the time I got there she was trying to hold herself up but was tangled in a mess of cords. So I untangled her and got her to the bathroom and flagged a nurse to ask for help hooking everything up properly when she came out. They accused us of tampering with her line to get her high all because my friend was a recovering addict. And she’s the one that offered that info up from the start!!! I had a lot of similar experiences there myself. And it keeps getting worse. This must be where they send everyone the other hospitals don’t want or had to fire. Don’t do it. The ER won’t treat u unless u are on verge of death or amputation and charge u 3000$ to suggest u see your regular physician " - Stephanie

Medical West, An Affiliate Of Uab Health System: "I had my Moderna #1 and #2 given there at your clinic, but tried for the third booster(immunosuppressed) this time could get no information from the six different people in six departments that I talked to at UAB West over a two day period. I had to give up because no one knew anything and did not even care enough to phone me back as promised. Finally after calling four different pharmacies, I found one that stocked the Moderna vaccine. Everyone had Pfizer, so your people that you vaccinated with me are going to have a very difficult time getting follow up vaccine. Really took a lot of phone calls and footwork for me to get my third dose of vaccine. I'm a retired pharmacist who was in healthcare for over thirty years and found that your employee caring and competence was terrible. I will not use your facility in the future. Your people simply do not care." - William
