Mease Countryside Hospital: "I was advised by my primary care to immediately seek treatment for my covid 19 symptoms at the closest hospital where regeneron can also be administered. What a mistake going to Mease Countryside that was. I can only assume they are unaware of the CDC guidelines or just chose to not follow them. "Corralling" anyone with cold symptoms in a small area with no more than maybe 2 feet between them is INSANE. Hey Board of directors NOT EVEYONE WILL HAVE COVID YOU PUT IN THERE, but you now have expose EVERYONE !!!!! So incredibly irresponsible!!! I guess we now have a good idea why this pandemic is spreading !!! Mease Countryside ER waiting room is an incubator !!!! You would think DR's would have better sense !!!!" - C

Mease Countryside Hospital: "I was brought by ambulance to Mease Countryside ER. I suffer from an anxiety/depression disorder that most times is controlled by medication. I became very ill and weak and had tremors so bad I couldn't dial my cell phone. I used my landline to call 911. The EMT's were very efficient and recognized my distress right away. I got to the ER and a nurse took some blood for testing. Then another nurse came in and discussed my condition. After about an hour the Doctor came in, talked to me for five minutes and left never to be seen again. A nurse came in about 45 minutes later and gave me a 1mg injection of Ativan. After a period of time she came back with my discharge papers! The first injection did nothing and I was still suffering. After I complained that I wasn't any better than when I first arrived she went away. About 10 minutes later she came back with another 1mg injection of ativan and my discharge papers. I hadn't improved at all and here I was being sent home without any further treatment even though I still felt terrible. I complained to the nurse again and all she would do is keep shoving the discharge papers in my face. I realized that the ER was done with me and no matter what my symptoms sent me home.
I will never use Mease Countryside ER again. They were so uncaring and so uneducated about my condition. I left the ER feeling almost like I first felt after arriving by ambulance.
I start with a new physician soon as my insurance has changed. She is registered at Mease Countryside. I am not looking forward to ever spending a minute there again. They are so "busy" with patients I felt like cattle. I hope this gets posted somewhere that they can see this complaint. I know it won't do much good but at least in other ERs I have had to go to over a 15 year period, they are the worst I have ever had to use." - Timothy
