Mclaren Flint: " 3 weeks ago my 82 year old mother came in with trouble breathing sat out in ER for 10 hrs was admitted with 2 week stay and new valve replacement. May 1st came in at 2 am by ambulance blood pressure was 209/109 and put in waiting room again until 11am (9 hrs)!! Was admitted was dehydrated when she got to her room, asked a employee behind desk in ER if she could get some water because she is on Meds and they told her to get it from drinking fountain ????. I wAs told I couldn’t come in with her because of Covid. They don’t screen anybody or separate Covid patients from other emergency patients. I did get to go back once she was in tx room. In which they got right to all of her testing and nurse was concerned about her blood pressure. The nurses in back are very attentive but the ones in triage is ??? Not sure what is going on with this hospital, it is filthy ! Even the floor she was admitted to. The floor looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in weeks. And when we came the 1st time thru ER we never seen anyone clean or wipe anything down in ER the whole 10 Hours. Even the bathrooms were never cleaned and one went out of order when there. You know I am not blaming staff I am sure they are just like almost every other business short employees but is (corporate ) McLaren greed taken over.you are a public service maybe take the time to look into these situations!! I am sure me and my family are not the only ones seeing this at McLaren Emergency " - BT

Mclaren Flint: "Terrible. My husband arrived in an ambulance, sent to ER from his doctor's office, due to dangerous level blood pressure range. Three hours later he was still sitting in waiting room awaiting treatment. He left the hospital untreated after watching steady stream of coughing, gasping patients admitted ahead of him. I understand that is serious but so is a threatening stroke or heart attack. My husband also suffers from severe asthma and is therefore immune compromised which could kill him if he contracts Covid. It did not help his anxiety level to sit in that enclosed waiting room for nearly three hours among people who appear to be COVID affected. McClaren needs to do a better job of isolating patients who have immunity issues. Also three hours is too long to leave a patient untreated who arrived in an ambulance." - R
