Main Line Hospital Bryn Mawr Campus: "Spent 6 hours in the BMH ER waiting area *after* being registered, triaged, and ct scan & x-rays done. Lacerations, sprained thumb, severe pain in rib area, possible concussion. Scan & x-rays hadn't even been looked at after 4-5 hours. No ice for areas of swelling provided until it occurred to me to ask for it. Finally brought into an ER room, non-existent exam by nurse & doc. Nothing broken so NO PAIN RELIEF, NO WRAPPING OR BANDAGING, & despite telling them about c. diff infection picked up @ Lankenau years ago, prescribed common antibiotic guaranteed to result in a c. diff bloom against advice of the hospital's own infectious disease doctors years ago. No interest in where pain was located (tissues over rib) or severity of pain (high--could barely breathe). Might as well have stayed home. Primary provided actual care but concussed & will take longer to recover because of improper ER care. Not the BMH ER it used to be, at all." - Patient
