Knox Community Hospital Stories

Knox Community Hospital: "It is sad....my husband had chest pain and abnormal lipid levels. Even though we have insurance, KCH would not agree to perform a stress test on him until he paid 1500.00. It sounds that the financial portion of the vision statement is more emphasized than the mission and value statement!" - Tess

Knox Community Hospital: "Complete and total incompetence. My teen's KCH lab bloodwork results for intense abdominal pain was allegedly "normal" and he was sent home but when our doc looked at the bloodwork results from KCH lab, three measures of inflammation and infection were marked as "HIGH" in the very report. The Physician's Assistant who treated my son (no MD saw him) looked straight in my eyes and said the bloodwork was normal. I can't tell you how furious I am. I was already reluctant to use KCH based on past experiences, but I thought at the very least that staff could read a lab report that says "High." I guess my optimism was misplaced. This kind of problem cannot be fixed. I'm done." - Michelle
