Kettering Medical Center - Sycamore Stories

Kettering Medical Center - Sycamore: "I had outpatient total hip replacement 4/6/201. At home at home on 4/8/21, as the nerve block was wearing off, I noticed abdominal and vaginal swelling. A long story follows, filled with medical errors. I was diagnosed at Soin ER. 3 weeks later with KlebsielliaPneumonia, a raging septic infection and nearly died. On my recheck with Dr. Ahlwhalia and staff, I was very ill, and they were absolutely clueless on what to do. Did not recommend the ER, which I was in 2 days later. On investigation of my case by Sycamore Hospital, I was told my Foley Catheter was in for less than 2 days, so the Klebsiellia Pneumoniae, they say could not have come from there!!!!! I have never had a UTI that takes 8weeks of antibiotics to clear and know of no women that has had swelling and pain in the abdomen and vaginal area for 8 weeks from UTI, THAT THEY SAY I HAD WHEN I CAME IN FOR SURGERY,,,” per Dr. Alwuhalia. Sycamore lists their infection rate for MRSA and STAPH, I would like to see their statistics on Klebsiellia Pneumoniae as it IS a hospital acquired infection and I do believe their statistics are high on the this, but they are not reporting it.
