Holmes Regional Medical Center: "We have been waiting since around 8pm,this is my husband 3rd visit to this ER within few days apart. He's been with high fever, stomach, pains, no appetite, vomiting and chills for over a week. First 2 visits nothing was found, everything negative & good.
He has a history of heart problems with triple bypass done a year ago, not only he's been with those symptoms but chest discomfort as well. We're still waiting in the ER and another patient that came after us was taken in, with her holding onto her chest.
Do these symptoms he's going thru mean anything, with him having a heart disease and heart problems??? Should we continue to wait another 2-3 hrs or go to another hospital " - David

Holmes Regional Medical Center: "My wife entered Holmes Regional Hospital on Mar 17 with an unknown ailment that rendered her unable to walk. It is now Apr 5th and she languishes in the bed with no diagnosis yet made. As for the nursing staff, we thank them for being so sweet and kind, but their services have been slovenly, even negligent because of their forgetfulness to complete tasks. for example, eight times they failed to empty the urine jar and my wife sat in a set ped until they finally came. They complain of being over-worked;! their negligence is part of their own problem. As for the Kitchen service: sometimes my wife has not got her dinner until as late as 9:30 PM Inexcusable! My wife is supposed to have a case worker; we only saw her once in the two weeks at The Heart Wing. There is supposed to be a physio-therapist. On the few times they came to the patient's room, it was obvious that they had not been informed of Mr. Bateman's complete inability to walk: one woman arrived, saying, I'm here to help you "walk to the bathroom." My wife cannot walk; don't you know?? Now she is in the A Wing; they were nice enough to ask her what she wanted for breakfast; she did not get a single item she requested. Sounds unbelievable to everybody we know, including the professional nurses in both her family in Canada and in my family in PA. HELP. My wife now has contracted Covid and we are both separated by the necessary sequestration. Mrs. Bateman is worse than when she entered the hospital. HELP." - John
