Henry Ford Macomb Hospital Stories

Henry Ford Macomb Hospital: "I went into ER with severe back pain and both legs numb. I sat in ER for over 5 hours to get called back to a room to see it looked like a Third World Country. Patients in hallways lined up everywhere no patient privacy for such a huge hospital campus. They expected me to wait even longer when I was in severe pain from bilateral sacrolitiis, arthritis and spondylosis in my spine along with both legs numb. This is unacceptable. There was numerous patients that were taken back who could walk and had mild symptoms after waiting only an hour. I had to leave in tears as it was well over 19 hours since I had any type of pain medication. They took the wheelchair out and I had to use my walking stick as my legs were numb and could barely stand. I was heartbroken that I could not be seen but sitting in hallways revealing my medical history in front of other patients and knowing the confidentiality laws is unacceptable. I hope Henry Fords take my concerns and finds a better way to protect their patients. I am sorry I had to leave without treatment but my body could not handle any more waiting time." - Cheryl

Henry Ford Macomb Hospital: "My mom has been there over 8 hours and still hasn’t been seen. People that have arrived hours after her are being seen before her. She’s a diabetic and is very dehydrated " - Joe
