Palms Of Pasadena Hospital: "BEWARE OF UNETHICAL BILLING PRACTICES!
I am a Registered Nurse of 19 years. I work for the Federal Government taking care of our Nations Heros. I was admitted for an infection in my knee. I was placed in a room and received treatment for 6 days as an inpatient. After discharge I was given a bill for $10,000 for a private room that Blue Cross Blue Shield would not cover. I was NEVER informed of any additional charge, I NEVER requested a private room, I NEVER signed anything approving this additional charge nor EVER made aware of it. To add insult to injury, they ONLY had private rooms available. Furthermore, due to my resistant infection, a private room would have been medically necessary. I will NEVER go to this hospital again, nor will they get $10, 000 out of me. They threatened ruin my credit which I have worked very hard to restore after a divorce. "
