Forrest General Hospital Stories

Forrest General Hospital: "My husband, daughter and I were involved in an accident. I came to Forrest General Hospital a few days later because I very dizzy and could not focus or stand up. The staff and doctors were very friendly and helpful. I now work at Forrest General Hospital since then and this is the friendliest hospital I ever been to. All my experiences at Forrest General Hospital have always been pleasant. I trust the staff here to take care of everyone and they are always willing to pray with you before a procedure. God bless every person who comes here, God please help the staff to the strength and courage to provide the care that each person needs. Amen. " - Tiffany

Forrest General Hospital: "My Dad arrived, by ambulance, at Forrest General Hospital at 1:53AM; I arrived 10 minutes before him. He complained of chest pain and had severe tremors. We are still waiting to see a doctor and it’s now 5:49AM. The nurse had the audacity to ask my dad if he had a fever, if he wanted an aspirin!!!! He’s nasuaeated, vomiting, sweating profusely and we are still waiting for a doctor?!!! How on earth is that possible! They finally just gave him Zofran & said “we’re #3 to be seen but physician shift changes at 6 so it may be after 6!”

Never again will I come here! The wait is unacceptable. Hardly any nurses or staff on the floor; instead I found them gathered in a room laughing and talking! Forrest General is full of shit! I’ve heard the stories before but to experience it myself has my furious!

Completely unacceptable and I know we are not the only patients in the hospital but my gosh! Since we’ve been waiting 2 other people walked out after hours of waiting. I’ve only seen 1 person discharged from the area we’re in. Ridiculous Forrest General!"

Forrest General Hospital: "My daughter went into the ER this morning at approximately 10:30 AM. Was treated by triage nurse quickly. Then sent back out to the waiting room. Sat out there for 2 1/2 hours waiting to see a doctor. Was in excruciating pain and no one ever called her. A nurse was sitting in the ER visiting with someone and looked over at her and didn't even have the decency to ask if she was OK. This emergency room seems to not really take their patients seriously and it doesn't matter how much pain urine or what you're experiencing they don't take any of that into consideration. Very sad excuse for a hospital emergency room. I will neither attend or recommend this facility to anyone." - Robertaw

Forrest General Hospital: "I went to the ER this morning about 10:30 in excruciating pain!
I was sent by a Doctors office for test and after the test I was put in the room for 3 hrs
And for every question I had, I got an excuse saying "the rules..." And
Was treated with disrespect and left there in worse shape than when I came in!
A PA named Linley Leigh told me that I didn't get to choose a Provider after I asked to see a doctor and continued with insults until I left!! I was afraid to say a word!!!"

Forrest General Hospital: "Forrest general hospital does NOT have sufficient infectious disease control doctors. ONE! YES, YOU HEARD ME. ONE! And he is shared with another hospital.
AND they report infectious diseases once a month. Get what you need before the weekend, such as towels, blankets, and pillows. Because on the weekend, they do not have employees to take care of that if they run out. My husband had to be coveted with folded up sheets, and pee pads to stay warm after he was admitted. There is a major lack of communication between the patient and the staff. Most of the nurses are great, but you can tell they have too many patients when it takes 2 hours to get your pain meds. It's a mess. I could go on and on! "

Forrest General Hospital: "Brought a soldier in with severe stomach pain and blood in his urine. This soldier sat in the waiting room for more than 5 hours after his initial paperwork was completed. I counted more than 2 dozen other patients that came and left after his arrival, and him still sitting there in pain. This is completely unacceptable and the absolute WORST JOKE of an ER I have ever seen!" - SSG
