Essentia Health St Mary's Medical Center: "I had an emergency visit to the emergency care on Friday, December 9,2016
I called that morning,spoke to a few people before I got satisfaction as far as getting in to see somebody who I had the impression that was going to happen.the nurse gave me the information as to what and where I needed to go and my information was going to be taken care as far as what was needed to do to get me some help.
Well, none of that happened.
From the time that I arrived till the time I left was close to seven hours, I left having same pain and problem.
I was put into a room in the emergency area that was the store room /examine room. Felt like I was in the middle of a room on display.bright lights and noise from the station, people laughing, talking about anything and everything, not appropriate or professional.
Nurse were impersonal ,dr, was about as bad, I was out on a pain I.v tests were taken never heard the results of lab was basically told I had nothing wrong with me, they unhooked my I.v. And I was out the door, I had drove myself 90 miles and was not in any condition to drive, had to get a hotel room, and was not in any condition to drive. After being on a pain I.v. And being drowsy for the time I was in the emergency room.
This is just some of what the situation was, I have a dr. App on Thursday as a follow- up, which I am totally disgusted on how this has taken place, not being able to see the dr. That did the procedure, but seeing a phy assistant, I have issues that I want addressed with the dr. Who did my procedure due to the problems of discomfort.I am having problems with pain and other issues, having to go to local hosp also.had confidence in st Mary's hospital care and Drs. In the past but that has changed for me in a big way.
Customer care is lacking and has changed in many ways, not for the better in my opinion
