Emory University Hospital Midtown: "I had nasal cancer and surgery on July 14,2020. Because of covid I wasn’t allowed anyone to stay or visit me. It was 10.5 hour surgery. They replaced my palate with a Musale from my right wrist. They took skin from my key to cover my wrist. Took all my top teeth out and put all but two back. My throat was cut all the way across. There were 6 drainage tubes. I was supposed to be in icu for 3 days. They put me in a reg room after one day. They said because of covid. Everything is because of covid. I was treated terrible once I got to the reg room. It was like being in a third world country. I couldn’t talk or write. My arm was in a cast and had two drainage tubes. Nobody was helpful to me at all. I’m surprised I even lived. I had gastric cancer in 2011 and was in a Gwinnett county hospital. I don’t have one bad thing to say against that hospital. 24 days there and excellent care. I complained as best I could to Emory once I could speak some. Nobody ever got back to me. It was inhumane treatment. Beware if you are ever there on the 2nd floor. " - Joy

Emory University Hospital Midtown: "THE WORST WAITING TIME I've EVER EXPERIENCED!!! on August 2021 on a Friday morning I walked in the emergency room at around 8:40a. I didn't get out of there until about 6pm that evening!!!!!!! I am assuming because I did not have any health insurance so they took advantage of that and put my needs in the back burner. I DO NOT recommend Emory at all for emergencies unless you have excellent health insurance." - Sabine
