Elliot Hospital Stories

Elliot Hospital: "My mom has serious injuries. I showed up in the ER and had to basically take care of her myself. I personally don’t care about doing that. I have a broken wrist and could have used more help. Saw a lot of the staff on their phones rather than doing the jobs they are paid for. Last time ever going to that place. When I called after I left to check on her I was treated poorly by the woman that answered the phone. Disgusting " - Todd

Elliot Hospital: "I cannot stress enough how much I think patients and their families should decline to be in the care of Dr. Zheng. She is arrogant, dismissive, rude, and stated that she does not talk to patient’s families and/or their spouses as part of her practice.
My mother is in the ICU with cardiac issues, and we are moving her as soon as we can!"

Elliot Hospital: "PLEASE DON'T EVER GO TO THE ELIOTT HOSPITAL ER -My symptoms were - Throbbing leg pain, weakness, perspiring even in AC, over-all just feeling yucky. It made me anxious so went to Urgent care. I went there yesterday because urgent care (which I was only there for 20 min.) sent me due to my EKG - Said I would have ultra-sound done due to EKG readings. They made me go by ambulance - Once there I was thrown into the waiting room sitting in a wheelchair and took an hour to be triaged once that was done, I had blood tests, Ct scan and no ultra-sound. I got to the ER at 2PM - 7:30PM still sitting in the waiting room - Nurse said it would be another 3 hrs. possibly more before I would be seen again by the DR. That was pushed ahead from 2hrs. There were outbursts and disruptions because people were waiting so long. I started getting anxiety attacks because 1 person was a bit hostile. Noone in medical personnel seemed to care one bit.
We finally just left after I looked up my tests in my portal.
So now I am home looking up all my test results and being my own care provider.
I HAVE NEVER EVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS AT AN ER BEFORE IN MY LIFE.
Granted COVID has left a shortage of nurses and Drs. but taking people in to be seen with non-threatening symptoms over someone who could possibly have a heart attack or stroke is beyond me.
I am changing all of my stuff over to CMC with hopes of getting much better care when needed.
Even the Dr. at Eliott Urgent care wasn't very forth coming, and you would think he would have given ER instructions to be seen immediately. ALL I CAN SAY IS - IF YOU WANT GOOD PROPER CARE - STAY AWAY FROM ELIOTT HOSPITAL ER."

Elliot Hospital: "Oh the deplorability. Five hours. No pain medication with a perirectal abscess! They refused me food AND WATER the whole time. I asked for a lancing (bad enough)but silly Elliot thought they would deceive me (keeping me waiting five hours) to THEN tell me I would be having surgery. A surgery that I have refused to let Elliot do. When they stop making their many mistakes, then one could consider them capable of a surgery, which cuts ones bottom open. (Fistulae involved here) When I then wanted to leave, I was treated so badly. The staff was so very rude. When you complain to Tina in patient liaison, she will tell you "good luck" and when you return for help again, the same treatment happens. I had to open the abscess myself next day. Prior to THIS visit, their vitals tech screamed that it was "all in my head" (she was training someone that day too)Um NO Heather... it is ALL IN MY BOTTOM. I did not get admitted by Heather and two months later returned with rectal bleeding. Elliot Hospital was super nice THAT TIME.. Though believe me, that time came with mistakes too. The new ER waiting room with hot towels is a joke! Do not let this fool you into thinking Elliot Hospital cares about you!! I live one block from them, 35 years now, and trust me the spiral of downward motion has Elliot Hospital in it's circle of deplorability. Have a Kindergartener operate instead -as a plastic doctor bag, owned by a five year old will get you well faster. Skip the mental anguish folks! " - Janet

Elliot Hospital: "A six hour wait absolutely unacceptable. Sent over from the Drs. Office because of severe headache. Sitting in an overcrowded waiting room. Ask a question of the receptionist snd you get a snarl. Never will I come her again," - Ray

Elliot Hospital: "I’ve been sitting here for four hours with chest pains. I haven’t eaten anything in 24 hours and not slept for 36. I asked them for a place to lay down since I’m woozy and ready to pass out

They pointed to the floor…."
- Chris
