Doctors Hospital: "I am typing this review while still sitting and waiting for my daughter to be helped. On Mar 22, 2022, I brought my daughter into the ED due to sever abdominal pain and vomiting. She is in excruciating pain, unable to remain still in her chair. The receptionist and and the Triage nurse Ashley was so rude to us. They showed no compassion towards my daughter, and any other patient in fact. Ashley actually argued with me about where we were sitting. I explained to her that another nurse sat us there. She replied, I sat you there but you can’t sit there. I decided not to argue with a nurse that is supposed to be focused on the well-being of the patients and not arguing with family members. Unprofessional. 1 1/2 hrs after my daughter suffering, I asked if they knew what was going on? Charge nurse states they’re busy and waiting for a bed. At this point, all the patients in the ED are starring at my daughter and saying they need to take her back now. Still, nothing. Each time I went back to the desk to ask for help, the receptionist just looks at me. I ask her, can you hear me? She was very rude, and disrespectful. She actually told the charge nurse at one point, “you got another one”. What is happening here in this hospital. As a healthcare professional myself, I understand being stretched thin, exhaustion. That doesn’t mean it is ok to ignore patient’s pain, treat people with nonchalant attitudes, and disrespect. My daughter sat in the ED waiting area, crying, uncomfortable, unable to remain still for 3 hours. She was then called to the back to sit in the hallway for another hour. Finally, the NP saw my daughter. Nice, professional, and sympathetic. The nurse whom gave my daughter her medications for pain was awesome. She put her lunch aside in order to administer my daughters pain meds. She was always professional and welcoming with her care. When patients come to the hospital, they depend on us to make them feel better, make the pain go away, give them hope again, and place their trust in our hands. It saddens and disgust me to have these type of interactions with healthcare workers that swore to heal the sick
