Delnor Community Hospital: "My daughter came in at 11:30am. Supposedly she is waiting on an ultrasound. But now it is 6:15pm and she is still waiting. She hasn't eaten and she is still in pain. I am seriously thinking of just taking her home." - Betty

Delnor Community Hospital: "ER wait times shown are not accurate. I waited over 7 hours 9/28/2021 from 3:00pm until after 10:30pm just to get a room to see the Dr. I had an IV in for initial bloodwork, and they don't let you leave the area with a needle in. Was told to expect a 2nd blood draw at 5:30, but waited till 10:15. Wait times were over 6 hours for most patients I talked with. 5.5 hrs at 4pm (10am arrivals), 7 hrs at 9pm (2pm arrivals). Acute cases went quicker. The Nurse said they usually had over 9-10 hour wait times over the last 3 months and the wait time was lighter than normal! The waiting room was overloaded, plus many in the hallways outside. Visitors were not allowed in the waiting areas. Everyone wore a mask but the poor guy throwing up several times an hour, he wasn't wearing one while throwing up (into a bucket in the waiting room). I couldn't leave to get food after checking in (there was a water fountain by the bathrooms and vending machines). The staff were A+ very professional, friendly, and understanding, but the logistics are not safe. Many of us were hungry / thirsty / dehydrated, and some in severe pain without their meds in the waiting room for many hours. We can't complain about the wait because the current Covid situation is severe. But if your provider suggests an ER visit, please be prepared for actual current wait times of 5 to 10 hours (make sure you have liquids / meds / food) and consider your safety and exposure in the current overloaded waiting room regime. - Erich" - Erich
